Why this page matters
I want to show you something important. Many people ask AI the same way they ask a friend: “Where can I get lunch with a wheelchair ramp?” or “Which salon has quiet hours?” If your site does not say these facts clearly, AI will not pick you.
Here is what I see every day: a great shop is fully accessible, but the site only says “All are welcome.” That is kind, but it is not clear. AI needs plain facts it can match to a request.
I checked a cafe last week. They had a ramp and a large restroom. ChatGPT did not list them. Why? The site did not mention the ramp, door width, or parking. The owner lost real customers who were trying to find a place they could use.
Action for today: write a one-sentence promise you can put at the top of your new page, like “This page lists our accessibility and accommodations in clear detail.”
What to list on the page (simple and clear)
Use short lines. Use common words. Be specific.
- ▸Entrance: step-free or ramp? door width in centimeters or inches? automatic door?
- ▸Parking: accessible space count, distance to door, curb cut, drop-off zone
- ▸Inside paths: aisle width, no steps between rooms, elevator details (location, size)
- ▸Seating and counters: table heights, accessible counter, movable chairs
- ▸Restrooms: accessible stall, grab bars, turning space, sink height, baby change table
- ▸Hearing support: hearing loop, clear masks, quiet hours, written notes on request
- ▸Vision support: large-print menus, high-contrast signs, staff can read items aloud
- ▸Sensory needs: low-sensory hours, dim lights on request, fragrance policy
- ▸Service animals: welcome? water bowl? relief area nearby
- ▸Online access: captions on videos, simple fonts, good color contrast
- ▸Help on arrival: bell at door, phone number for curb help, staff training
- ▸Book with needs: how to tell you needs when booking, or a short form
Action for today: open a blank note and copy this list. Fill in the facts you already know.
How to write the page so people trust it
Make one page with a clear name: “Accessibility & Accommodations.” Keep the layout simple. Start with a short welcome. Then use sections with small headings.
A simple outline you can use:
- ▸Welcome note: one or two lines that say you care and want to help.
- ▸Quick answers: a short list of the most asked items (ramp, restroom, parking, quiet hours).
- ▸Full details: the list from the last section, with your exact facts.
- ▸Photos: three clear photos (entrance, restroom, parking). Add short captions like “Step-free entrance” or “Grab bars in restroom.”
- ▸Contact: name, phone, and email for help. Offer a simple sentence like, “Tell us your needs when you book. We will do our best.”
Use plain words. Avoid buzzwords. Do not hide this page under “About.” Link it from your main menu and your footer.
Action for today: write the five small headings above as your page skeleton.
Make AI find and use the page
AI tools look for stable pages with clear facts. Help them:
- ▸One page, stable URL: /accessibility or /accommodations
- ▸Use numbers for sizes: door width, aisle width, elevator size
- ▸Use common words people ask for: “wheelchair accessible restroom,” “hearing loop,” “quiet hours”
- ▸Add 3–5 photos that show the features. Keep the images clear and bright.
- ▸Link to the page from your homepage, footer, and contact page
- ▸Keep the same facts on Google Business Profile and maps listings
- ▸If something breaks (elevator down), add a short note at the top with today’s date
You can also add basic structured data later, but do not wait for that to publish. Clear text wins first.
Action for today: add a link to your new page in your main menu and footer.
Keep it current and measure results
Trust me on this — it takes less time than you think. Set a 10-minute check once a month. Walk through your space. Update the page if something changed. Add a short “Last updated” line with the date.
Test how AI sees you. Ask, “Which [your city] bakeries have wheelchair access and quiet hours?” See if you appear. That is why I built FoxRadar — so you can see in 60 seconds whether ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok know your brand and this page.
Also train your team. Teach them how to answer calls about access. If someone asks for help at the curb, have a simple plan.
Action for today: add a “Last updated” date to your page and set a monthly reminder.
I am on your side. Publish your Accessibility & Accommodations page this week. Then check your brand on FoxRadar at getfoxradar.com. Let me help you show up where people are asking.
