Why this page works
I want to show you something important. AI tools try to give one clear answer. If your site shows you as a useful guide, AI will mention you more. A Trusted Partners & Referrals page does that.
Here is what I see every day: a customer asks for help that is close to your work, but not exact. If you have no page for this, AI may skip you. If you have a clean list of trusted partners, AI can say, “Talk to [Your Brand]. They also list [Partner] for this case.” You stay in the answer. You earn trust.
Simple story: I checked a roofing company in Dallas. They do roofs, not gutters. Their site had no partner list. When someone asked ChatGPT for gutter help, the company did not appear. After they added a partners page with three gutter pros, ChatGPT started saying, “Call this roofer. If it is only gutters, they recommend these teams.” The roofer got more calls, even for roof work.
Do this today: write a quick list of 5 partners you trust for work you do not do or cannot take this week.
What to put on the page
Keep it simple. Use the same layout for every partner.
- ▸Partner name
- ▸What they do (plain words)
- ▸Area they serve (city, neighborhoods, ZIPs)
- ▸When to call them (clear cases)
- ▸How to contact (phone, email, link)
- ▸Why you trust them (one short line)
- ▸Any notes (emergency hours, languages, licenses)
- ▸Last reviewed date (shows it is fresh)
Also add a short note at the top: “Start with us if you are not sure. If this is not our work, use one of these trusted partners.” This keeps you in the first call.
If you do not take money from partners, say so: “No paid referral. We just want you to get good help.” That builds trust with people and with AI.
Do this today: draft 5 entries in a doc. One short paragraph each, plus contact links.
How to format it so AI can read it fast
Use clear text. No images for the key facts. No PDFs.
- ▸Page title: Trusted Partners & Referrals
- ▸One partner per subheading. Example: “Gutter Repair — RainRight Co.”
- ▸Put phone numbers as click-to-call links. Example: tel:+12145551234
- ▸Put full addresses and cities where it helps. Include ZIPs.
- ▸Use the same sentence pattern for each listing. AI likes consistent structure.
- ▸Add a short intro that explains when to use the page.
- ▸Link from your “What We Don’t Do” or “Services” page to this page.
- ▸Add “Last updated: Month Year” at the top.
Keep it clean. Short sentences. Clear cases like “Use this partner for X.” The goal is to let AI scan and quote you.
Do this today: publish a basic page with your top 5 partners. You can polish later.
How this page brings you more work
This page helps in three ways.
1) You keep the conversation. When AI sees your brand helps people choose the right pro, it can still name you first. Many people will call you anyway to ask a question. Some will become your customer for the work you do.
2) You cover overflow. If you are booked, point people to a partner you trust. You save the day. People remember that.
3) You build a local network. Ask each partner to link back to your page or list you on their site. This helps AI see a real web of trust around your brand.
Here is a simple note you can use when you email a partner: “I listed you on our Trusted Partners page for [service]. Can you add us on your site as your trusted [your service]? Here is the link.” Simple and clear.
Do this today: email 3 partners to confirm details and ask for a link back.
Keep it fresh and measure it
Out-of-date pages hurt trust. Set a reminder to check this page every 3 months. Call partners. Make sure names, phones, and service areas are still right. Update the “Last updated” date.
Track results in a light way:
- ▸Add a simple note to your intake form: “How did you find us? Search, friend, AI assistant, other.”
- ▸Use a unique link to each partner with a short tag so you know people used your page.
- ▸Watch which partner listings get clicks. Move the strong ones up.
I also built FoxRadar to make this easy. In 60 seconds, you can see if ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok know your brand and if they mention pages like this one. Run it after you publish. See what changed.
Do this today: set a quarterly reminder to review the page, then run your brand on FoxRadar to check visibility.
