Build a Simple FAQ Page So AI Answers with Your Facts

I will show you how to make a clear FAQ page that ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok use. You will get fewer support emails and more right‑fit leads.

Build a Simple FAQ Page So AI Answers with Your Facts

Why a Simple FAQ Page Helps You Show Up in AI

I want to show you something important. When people ask ChatGPT or Gemini about your business, the tools look for short, clear answers. If you do not have a simple FAQ page, AI will guess. Or it will use another site. That means wrong hours, wrong prices, or no mention of you at all.

Here is what I see every day: hard‑working owners who answer the same questions by phone and email, but those answers are not on their site. AI cannot read your phone calls. It can only read pages.

Last week I checked a home repair company. People asked, “Do you work on weekends?” The owner always said yes. But there was no FAQ page. ChatGPT said “not sure.” That is lost work.

A clean FAQ page fixes this fast. One page. Each question. A short, direct answer. AI loves that.

Action for today: Decide to publish one simple FAQ page this week.

Pick the 12 Questions People Ask Most

You do not need 100 questions. Start with 10–12. Think about the last month. What did people ask by phone, email, chat, and at the counter? Write those down.

Use simple sources:

  • Your inbox: search for “how,” “do you,” “can you,” “when,” “price,” “where.”
  • Your reviews: note what people praise or worry about.
  • Your team: ask the person who answers the phone, “What do you say every day?”
  • Search: type your service into Google and look at “People also ask.” Pick the ones that fit you.

Example: A small bakery kept hearing, “Do you make gluten‑free cakes?” and “How much notice do you need?” Those are perfect FAQ items.

Make each question about one topic. Do not stack two questions in one line.

Write Short, Clear Answers AI Can Quote

Keep answers short and direct. First sentence: the clear answer. Next 1–3 sentences: key details. If a number, time, or limit matters, say it. If location matters, say the city or area.

Use this mini template:

  • Question (as a full sentence with a question mark)
  • Answer line 1: “Yes/No/It depends. [Direct answer.]”
  • Answer line 2–4: “Details. Numbers. Requirements. Link to a deeper page if needed.”
  • Last line (optional): “Last updated: Month Year.”

Bad: “We offer many flexible options for all customers.” Good: “Yes. We install on Saturdays. Weekend slots open 9–2. Book at least 3 days ahead.”

Do not stuff sales words. Do not hide the real answer. AI and people both want the truth fast.

If the answer changes by season, say so. If some buyers are not a fit, say so. Clear is kind.

Action for today: Write three FAQ answers in 3–5 short sentences each.

Format the Page for Fast Reading

Keep the page simple. Use one H2 heading for each question. Put a short intro at the top. Add a “Last updated” date near the top. Link to deeper pages only when needed.

Add a small “Contact us if your question is not here” line with your best contact link. If you have many services, group questions by topic with mini subheadings.

If you have a web helper, ask them to add FAQ structured data (called “FAQPage”). This helps search and some AI tools find each Q&A cleanly. If you cannot add it now, do not wait. Plain text still works.

Action for today: Create a draft page with your 12 questions as H2 headings.

Publish the page at a clean URL like /faq. Link it in your main menu and footer. Also link it from your contact page and service pages. This makes the page easy to find for people and AI.

Now test it. Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok three of your top questions. See what they say. If they do not quote your page yet, give it a few days. Then try again.

I built FoxRadar to make this easy. With FoxRadar, you can see in 60 seconds whether these tools know your brand and which pages they use. If they miss your FAQ, you will see it, and you can fix it fast.

Keep the page fresh. Update when prices, hours, or policies change. Add a new Q&A when you hear a new question twice in one week.

Action for today: Publish your FAQ and run a quick check on FoxRadar.
