Why this page matters now
I want to show you something important. People ask AI tools things like, "Which shop near me is open now with easy parking?" or "How do I get to the Main Street clinic entrance?" If AI cannot find a clear page on your site with these details, it sends people to someone else.
Here is what I see every day: business owners who work hard but do not show up in AI at all. Last week I checked a repair shop with two locations. When someone asked ChatGPT for the closest location with Saturday parking, the brand did not appear. The website had no simple page that explained parking, entrances, or transit. A competitor did. Guess who got the customer.
You can fix this fast with one page: a clear Locations & Directions page. Keep it simple. Make it exact. Make it easy for AI to quote.
Do this today: check if you have one page that lists every location with directions, parking, and entrances.
What to put on the page
Use one page that lists every location. Give each location its own small section. For each one, add these items in clear, short lines:
- ▸Exact name as used on maps
- ▸Full street address (include suite, floor, or unit)
- ▸Phone number and hours for that location
- ▸A link to Google Maps and Apple Maps
- ▸Simple written directions from main roads and public transit
- ▸Parking details (free lot, street, paid garage, validation)
- ▸Which entrance to use, floor, or door number
- ▸Photo cue: "Red door by the oak tree" (add an image on the site; AI will read the caption)
- ▸What services are available at this location
- ▸Pickup instructions if you offer pickup
Keep the language plain. One idea per line. AI reads and quotes these small facts better than long paragraphs.
Do this today: write a draft for one location with the list above. Keep it to 8–12 short lines.
Make each location unique and easy to pick
AI often has to choose between your locations. Help it pick the right one with unique cues. Add cross streets and landmarks. Add transit lines. Note which entrance is open late. If two locations share the same phone number or hours, make sure other fields are different and clear.
Example: “Uptown Studio — 200 King St, Unit 4. Corner of King & Pine. Green Line stop ‘Pine’. Use north entrance. Ring bell for Unit 4. Free 30‑min parking in rear lot.” Now an AI can match a user asking, “Which one is near the Green Line with quick parking?”
If you have photos, add alt text like “North entrance with glass door, Unit 4.” AI tools read alt text and use it.
Do this today: add three unique details to each location: one landmark, one transit cue, and one entrance note.
Link the right tools and keep data clean
People want fast actions. Put a clear “Call” phone link, a “Get Directions” link to Google and Apple, and a “Book” or “Order Pickup” link if you have one. The link should be for that exact location, not your homepage.
Keep hours and addresses the same on this page and on your Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Yelp, and your footer. If hours change, update the page first, then update the listings. When facts match, AI trusts you more. If you have an Access page with ramps or elevators, link to it from each location.
You do not need code. You can do this in any website builder in under an hour per location.
Do this today: add a Google Maps and an Apple Maps link to each location, and test both on your phone.
Answer the navigation questions people ask
AI answers real questions. Help it. Add a small Q&A block under each location. Use the questions people ask on the phone:
- ▸Is there parking? Where? How much?
- ▸Which entrance should I use?
- ▸Are there stairs or an elevator?
- ▸What is the best public transit stop?
- ▸Where do I pick up an order?
- ▸Is this location open late or on weekends?
Keep answers short, direct, and current. If rules change (new paid parking, new door, construction), update the answer with a date. AI likes fresh, dated facts it can quote.
Do this today: write five Q&As for your busiest location and add today’s date at the top of that section.
See if AI already understands your locations
You might wonder if ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok can already find your page. I built FoxRadar for this. It checks in 60 seconds whether these tools know your brand and your locations. If they do not, you will see where to fix.
Do this today: check your brand on FoxRadar and note which location facts are missing.
Ready to be the one AI recommends? Take 20 minutes, update your Locations & Directions page, and then see the change on getfoxradar.com. I am cheering for you.
